I have been drawing for the best part of 35 years but after 25 plus years hard yakka as a Chef in many hotels ,restaurants and many quality food establishments I did use drawing as a way to release the pressure and stress of a demanding job. It was a great way to forget about the days madness. It was about 3 years ago I decided to pick up a pencil again and started to draw. A few weeks later I was meeting a friend for coffee and on the way there I just had this idea come to me about a good alter ego for my return to my artwork. This was where Shades Of Graham was born. For many years I have searched for my creative outlets with food and art and now it was time to dabble in my love of art. I like to think I was gifted this ability to draw or paint and I have grown up with my Granmas influence from her amazing paintings and I genuinly believe you can't waste these gifts. I believe that through portraits I am able to translate this abilty and I will progress to soon begin to create some of my own paintings to express my journey along the way. I truly hope you enjoy my work as much as I do.
